Welcome to My Stories!

As an Economics Master student with Finance background, my passion is in business analytics. I think it is a cool thing to solve data analytics problems, build financial models and conduct business insight for investment and strategy.

I am also a vintage lover,  movie enthusiast, and Federer supporter. Art, music, movie and sports have been coloring my life after I entered SJTU. Before that, my whole life is controlled by the goal of entering a key university in China. Lol! Of course, I did it and chose Shanghai to study because of Shanghai Masters. Many hobbies have been formed during the time in Shanghai, such as visiting museums, listening to the concerts and visiting coffee shops with friends. Shanghai is a lovely and modern city, my favorite one besides my hometown.

Here, I have some recommendations. The first one is a fancy museum in Shanghai, the Long Museum. The Long Museum is founded by Chinese couple collectors, Mr. Liu Yiqian and his wife, Ms. Wang Wei, and it owns two huge places for exhibition and related functions: Long Museum Pudong and Long Museum West Bund. They are located respectively in Pudong New Area and Binjiang, Xuhui District, which constitutes a unique ecosystem of art in Shanghai: “One City, Two Museums.”. As the largest private institution of collections in China, the Long Museum boasts of the richest collection nationwide. It is really worth visiting. My senior year was in Xuhui campus so that it is so convenient for me to go here and other museums, such as Minsheng Art Museum in Red Town(Liu Xiaodong: Childhood Friends Getting Fat) and MOCA Shanghai (Yayoi Kusama: A Dream I Dreamed).

After I came to Los Angeles, Getty Center attracts me a lot. It is located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Center is one of two locations of the J. Paul Getty Museum and draws 1.3 million visitors annually. The Center branch of the Museum features pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts, sculpture, and decorative arts; and 19th- and 20th-century American, Asian, and European photographs. In addition, the Museums’ collection at the Center includes outdoor sculpture displayed on terraces and in gardens.

As for the concerts, festivals and musical drama, I took part in a lot in Shanghai, such as Jane Zhang’s concert, Strawberry Festival and Love vs.Bread Tree Musical Drama (whose actress is Joe Chen) adapted from a best-selling novel. Besides, I enjoyed the show from Passenger and Sodagreen in Los Angeles. In my mind, Strawberry Festival is the first choice for people who are not crazy rock fans but understand a lot about music. The experience is so valuable for me because I saw the first rock show from Maggie Cheung and vivid live show from Peng Tan. Next year, I wanna to try the biggest music festival in U.S, Coachella in Indio. When you ask me to introduce some coffee shops to you, the shops in KTLA will be the first choice, like HAUS by Coffee Hunter, Caffe Concerto,

When you ask me to introduce some coffee shops, the shops in KTLA will be the first choices, like HAUS by Coffee Hunter, Caffe Concerto, Klat and Yellow House Cafe. It is said that L.A is the place with the largest population of Korean out of Korea and when you travel to Korea, you will see people always spend a lot of time drinking coffee in lovely or loft shops. This may also be the reason for the popularity of Korean coffee shops in L.A. If you want to walk around LA District or Santa Monica to find one shop, Urth Caffe is awesome. I worked in Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator, only 100 meters away from Urth Caffe DTLA. There is also a new pretty one called Blue Bottle Coffee, which is popular as the coffee shop in Apple style.

I really appreciate it that you can continue reading to the end. I am so excited to share more stories, insights, and preferences with you.
